Damn this sucks. I watched an hour long interview with him and Vince Zampella a couple years ago. Between the 2 of them he really seemed to be the brains of the operation and was way more in touch with his games than Zampella. He actually seemed more like a passionate developer than an owner or creator. Nothing against Zampella though.
Next gen is not gonna be Kinect focused. It'll be there and lots of casuals will use it but it won't be Microsofts main focus.
Go PS3 #1 device that people watch Netflix on. More gaming actually goes on with the Xbox I do believe. Thats not bashing the PS3 though. I really do think more gaming goes on on xbox. Look at the game sales. Whether it be a AAA exclusive or a multiplat.
Consoles were only able to run 24 players because of the bandwidth cap Sony and Microsoft had in place. One of Dice's developers said in a blog that he had personally played BF3 on 360 and PS3 with 80 players in a game on LAN. He did say it had frame rate issues but it was still playable. It wasnt the hardware restricting the player count. It was Sony and Microsoft.

I can't wait for their unveiling just so some of you will finally stfu. The kinect is not going to be their primary focus on the new xbox. The only reason the kinect has made them so much money is because people actually had to pay $150 for it. As far as kinect games go they didnt exactly make a killing off of them. Their primary focus will be on the games. Just like Sony's was.
Call of Duty needs to be on a larger scale with huge maps and vehicles. I mean hell, if a large scale COD game wasnt as accepted by the fanbase it wouldnt really matter considering it's an annual release anyways. nothing wrong with taking a gamble here and there.
The ram has been multiplied by 8 with every gen console since the PS1. So will the PS5 have 128 gigs?
We'll probably get 4k next gen. I don't believe next gen will go on for 8 years like this one. Maybe 5-6.

Sure they pushed kinect in the past but the only reason they did that was because they knew it was new technology and it would make a quick buck. And it definitely suceedded there.

If you guys think microsoft is going to focus more on social features and Kinect than core games you are wrong. Of course there will be some of that but their unveiling will definitely be more about the games than anything else. They'll start up a lot more of the social bullshit after the console is released.
Each company whether it be Sony or Microsoft have informants. Most of them are game developers themselves that have worked with either Xbox or PS4 developer kits and know what hardware they have. Why do you think Sony unexpectedly doubled the ram? More than likely someone who had been working with an Xbox developer kit told someone at Sony about the Xbox having 8 gigs of ram. This is why the PS3 and 360 were so similar in specs.
The PS4 footage we saw looks like PC footage right now but give it 2 years or so and it will look leaps and bounds better than what we saw at Sonys event. Take Battlefield 2 during the early days of the 360 and PS3 and compare it to Battlefield 3 for example.
I'm primarily an Xbox gamer. I play LOTS of games. I have a PS3 too but it doesnt get played much because my friends are on Xbox. I'd just like to say I'm very impressed with Sony. It seems like they're trying to start completely fresh for next gen. They just keep telling us what we wanna hear. Take Gaikai as an example. They knew we wouldn't get backwards compatibility so they go out and buy a company for $380 million to make it happen for us.
