I guess they're hoping to cash in on the Christmas wish list rush. It's a shame because it really is a beautiful game.
So much drama in the games world this year. I thought I played video games to AVOID stuff like this.
I have mixed feelings about this. I'm happy that I can play Minecraft on the bus, but it's such a tiny screen. I have no idea how the controls and inventory management are going to work.
Who am I kidding, we all know I'm going to buy it.
This seems like an awesome game. Can't seem to find it on iPhone, despite claims that it exists for iOS. iPad only, maybe?
lol at people complaining about bugs in a beta.
In all seriousness, this reads almost like a "ways to enjoy Battlefield", or any FPS for that matter rather than being specific to the beta.
My biggest problem with the beta is I don't feel the sample is representative of what makes Battlefield unique. Again, I need to remember that it's a beta, not a demo. I'm just a tad nonplussed that they seem to be trying to liken it to Modern Warf...
Interesting take. I think this is one of the first times I've heard someone defending Bethesda in this case.
Ah you beat me to it.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I may actually be looking forward to playing this.
Based on people I've talked to, the main problem with the homosexuality thing in DA2 was that nobody saw it coming. They began talking to Anders and all of a sudden they realized they were being hit on, and their only choice was to either go along with it or gain rivalry points.
Basically people were mad because they felt BioWare was trying to "trick" them into some sort of homosexual relationship; there was a sort of false dichotomy constructed whereby you eit...
It's funny - I was just thinking that the only thing that would make me ok with Blizzard's flagrant DRM measures for this game would be having to shell out even more cash to be able to play it!
Well done, Blizzard. Well done.
I hear the new Tropico will include even MORE depth. For example, you can please your mistresses to raise your popularity, but if you're not careful your wife will get angry and then you'll need to do some damage control.
It's the Final Fantasy Chicken-Egg Conundrum.
" beating games isn’t even, usually, a matter of craving or satisfaction – it’s a compulsion. It’s a relief: “Thank God I beat that one. I don’t have to make time for it anymore.”"
My god - this is so true. I'd like to think this is more a product of the games being produced now than me as a gamer. Surely it's the failing of the game for failing to leave me hooked and rabid and wanting more, not my failing as a gamer for being unable to connect anymore. <...
Demonic? Or awesome? Note: not mutually exclusive.
I think the bigger problem here is why are there so many remakes and "collections" being pushed our way? Games already suffer from a pretty heavy case of Sequelmania - let's not add Remake Fever to the list, or else games will start to look like Hollywood.
Haven't gotten around to picking up Dungeons of Dredmor yet, but I'm looking forward to it. It's oft-discussed punishing difficulty both intrigues and frightens me.
This is a trend that really needs to go away. I'm not sure how we as gamers all of a sudden became OK with what is so obviously gouging, but the more we keep buying into this, the more publishers will realize they can keep getting away with it.
Seriously - paying $30 for DLC after already paying $60 for the game? Come on, guys.
I have no idea how this is going to work. I just know that I really want to play it.
SWTOR has pretty meager system reqs, so you don't have to worry about that one. Now Battlefield 3...that's another issue.
I'm a fan of free games.
