Here's the thing though with FFXIV. They never charged while you were playing your 30 days free. That's why people are upset. You as the consumer "should" have the option of subscribing at the end of your free month. Not early on.

From what I gathered is, the Watchdog title still had Wii U as a release for the game. That would mean they would need to throw out the old patent and trademark for the Wii U edition and file the new patent for Xbox One and PS4, etc. Makes sense in every aspect of legal responsibilities.
