One area I think the iPad could really do well in is multi-player gaming. And I don't necessarily mean over wifi, I mean multiple players on one device. Think about how well it could do something traditional, like a chess board or table hockey type game. Those are some of the first thoughts I had when I tried to consider the gaming implications of the iPad.
There's nothing about this video that immediate screams "hoax," but there are always people who will go to great lengths to commit hoaxes. But this looks pretty realistic.
It seems like this could be a really impressive way to introduce gamers to the iPhone's gaming capabilities. Considering that the game on the iPhone is as good as it is on other platforms, and that it's only $9.99 on the iPhone, it seems like people could really start to notice its impressive gaming abilities.
I've played a handful of these social Facebook games, and usually the only actual social aspects about it are the notifications and messages with which you bug your friends. This at least seems to go a bit further than that.
