My Kuro has been ISF calibrated by one of the best calibrators in the country, and has measures black level of .00014. Panasonics newest plasmas measure about .045. Not even close!
Panasonic only has a few of pioneers patents. Not all of them. They dont have the drivers, or the residual charge patents, which is why even the newest panasonic plasmas dont hold a candle to my PRO151FD
Panasonic has never built a panel for pioneer. That plan was scrapped when pioneer decided to pull out the display business. Samsung is not the best in color accuracy either. Post calibration the pioneer elite PRO series has perfect color. BTW the pioneer elite is the only TV CNET has ever given a perfect score in picture quality. OLED wont hit the market until they improve the blue OLED. Right now they have a shelf life of about 20k hrs. When they can get the blue OLED to last 60k to half life then we will see viable product.

PRO-151FD by far is the best TV out there for picture quality. No LED LCD or OLED comes close. By the time OLED hits the market, Pioneer will have launched the zero luminance Kuro that is only only the width of a calculator for less then half the cost of a 46" OLED.
PRO-151FD 60" Elite here as well. ISF calibrated in three weeks. It doesnt get any better than kuro
120hz Bravia are anything but top of the line. Pioneer Kuro Elite is the best tv money can buy.
what you have to understand about LCD tv's and 120hz, is it was a band aid for LCD poor pixel decay time. Plasma tv is superior for many reasons, and pioneer kuro is superior to all other plasmas. Plasma tv's have very fast pixel decay times "1-2 ms". Even the best LCD are 4ms. Since an LCD cannot turn off and on fast enough it has always been lacking in handling fast moving motion. By interpolating frames from the video signals, it fools you into thinking the tv has better motion, ...

The demo looks gorgeous on my Pioneer elite PRO-151FD. I really like the club tuner, and dynamic attributes. The graphics look completely new compared to last years. This one is gonna be a keeper. Oh yah and the fact that everyone plays at the same time online is icing on the cake.
Yeah, if they would bring back the ability to change were you put the ball in your stance and keep the ability to also change loft, that would be great. I think the graphics do look to be smoother yet detailed, with no aliasing that I can see in the shot anyway. Tiger 2008 really blows. The online is broken, so I hope they make this one a better experience.
50,000:1 my arse. Those numbers are inflated, and the 81 series has serious issues with black level and gamma. I'd put my pioneer elite kuro "ISF CALIBRATED" against that POS any day. On my kuro, I cant stand the blurriness of the PS3 version. I took it back and now am enjoying sharp, neutral color with no red tint. Not saying the ps3 version is inferior, I just dont like the soft warm look. My tv has perfect color so if I wanted red tint, I would put it there myself.
I have a Pioneer elite kuro that has been ISF calibrated, so I know what I see is not related to tv settings. I purchased the PS3 version on midnight launch from blockbuster. When I turned the game on, I noticed a very soft image borderline blurry. The jaggies were very bothersome, but zero pop in was a nice plus. To make a long story short, the next day I read the PS3 was rendered lower resolution with no AA, and used a blur filter to hide jaggies. That is what I noticed, and for me it bugge...

Ok is it just me, or did that guy look like he was trying to pinch a loaf during the whole review? God why cant people just give credit were it is due, and equal credit for that. I think halo3 deserved a high score, but not for the champaign. I was shocked out how fast it was over, and really let down how it ended.
