At best the cloud could do background things like day/night cycle..and well, clouds and environmental instances.
There is no way in hell the clouds could effect AI or physics, it is literally impossible for that information to travel back and forth fast enough.
It doesn't seem any different than the current PS3 model.
As for Family Sharing with Xbox One, that was a pipe dream, and anybody who thought it was as good as the fuzzy PR made it out to be, was fooling themselves.
No publisher in their right mind would have gone along with it.
According to anybody working at gamestop the allotment of pre-orders for PS4 vs Xbox One was in the tune of 4 to 1 or similar.
I would hope Xbox One could sell 10 consoles for every 40 PS4's sold.
Welcome to the changing of console generations.
The games will be taking a backseat for a while.
Between now and the end of the year it's gonna be all about hardware specs, rumours, policies, consumer opinions, and sales.
Best get used to it....seriously.
Nah man, competition is good, but it is hard to look away from a train wreck, thats for sure.
It would be a really weird console future if it was only Sony & Nintendo. Surely somebody else would join in, maybe Apple or Valve.
I do know one thing for sure, this next gen is going to be very interesting.
I looked edonus, all that popped up when I searched "XOBX ONE hypervisor" was this
http://static.giantbomb.com...
BTW PS3 has a hypervisor
Sizzling burn! toss another T-bone on that barbie!
For myself, Infamous Second Son was easily the best looking game at E3.
Watch Dogs, Killzone SF, and MGS 5 are up there.
(opinions right guys, maybe you should learn what they are)
Lets wait until Digital Foundry gets a hold of a few completed games, then we can talk.
Xbox 180 + 180 = ?
...a few minutes later...
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for meeee
For meeee
For meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Some people just want to watch the world burn lol
Yup! and it's hilarious.
I didn't sign it, but oh boy the thread over at Gaf is a riot.
I don't think you understand the meaning of that saying.
You must be cursing at yourself non-stop then.
Then leave.
"The standby functions will now regularly connect to the Internet when the Wii U is powered down to check for available SpotPass data or software and system updates
Further improvements to overall system stability and software compatibility"
B..b...b..but it must be good if Kotaku says so!
Riiight Kotaku, just like Ride to Hell: Retribution.
Seriously...just stop.
I don't think many were saying it was a lie.
I think most people were pointing out it took a much longer time to sell out than the first PS4 bundle did (only took a few days)
Please elaborate on how these games are actually using the "cloud".
Many people are going around saying things like the cloud can be used for AI and physics...and best of all, multiplying the actual power of the Xbox One console itself.
These tasks cannot be performed remotely, or there would be severe lag in reaction time...according to most people, who have any bit of sensibility.
Companies using clouds are not using them for gaming where ...
