This story just made me realise how we're not really a lot of stories concerning the games coming out in spring/early summer, for example InFamous, Hydrophobia, & Damnation (those last two coming out next month) - still without set release dates!
Not even much about RE5, also coming out March! No, it's all Killzone 2 being rammed down our throats. God I'll be glad when KZ2 ****s off. Hopefully it'll disappoint salewise (like LBP did, although LBP for the most part deserv...
- No run and gun mechanic.
Must it have one? Why? Because some people, such as you, can only handle one particular shooter mechanic? Not willing to, as it were, try different experiences?
- After playing Dead Space, it just doesn't seem "scary".
Never played RE1, 2, or 3, so I can't judge them for 'scariness'. I don't think RE4 was going for 'scary' (you say scary, I think Fatal Frame/Siren), it was going for 'panic inducing' in tha...
People have some BAAAAAAAADDDD memories of Crazy Frog, an ugly little cartoon character who released some excruciating novelty pop tunes once upon a time.
Your SOLE complaint is the whole 'no shooting without stopping' thing?
You know there are all kinds of games with very different gameplay mechanics. Re4/5 is only one of them, and you'll never guess, it's perfectly possible to be fun to play.
You're missing out.
Heavy Rain will top KZ2, it already has it beat on interest factor alone
I was expecting a lot of pictures of people playing Solitaire, Texas Hold'em, Minesweeper...
"PlayStation Lifestyle is needing attention again, visitors gone down sev?"
Let me guess, he banned a shedload of people for not being disgusting sycophants AGAIN?

They didn't speak to too many Sony people, did they? Hmmm.
Nope if it came out late 2008 it'd be vying for attention with GeOW 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, and Resistance 2.
Devil and the deep blue sea.
Yeah Fatal Frame 4 (Feb 6).
That's only for us Euros though.
I do hope you're not a resident of America, Reggie might disagree with you re the desirability of amazing games being on the Wii. I.e. he only wants shovelware and Wii Fit/Music/Sports Resort lameness for Nintendo customers and sets out to nix more interesting games.
They failed at each of the big three conferences last year (their failure only mitigated - to a very small degree - by showing Heavy Rain @ Leipzig), why are we expected to have faith that they'll do diddly-squat at GDC or any of this year's other shows?
I think this game taking so long points to sloppy development planning more than anything else.
I do hope Microsoft's unannounced exclusives (referenced in 13) are worth a damn, because these 2 Halo expansion packs screams desperate.
Why don't you buy an Xbox then?

I don't think they have learnt their lesson, this game might be every bit as, if not more violent than, MH2 but I bet this game gets a pass because of how the violence is portrayed.
A poster below calls it 'unrealistic and cartoonish' and he's more than likely right. Meanwhile it wasn't the violence but the presentation of the violence that did for MH2. It was banned for being 'relentlessly grim', sleazy, unpleasant...that's all actually very APPROPRIATE for a game revolving ...
For that matter, what's wrong with FPS games allowing you to retain whatever weapons you've collected after you've beaten the game and fancy using them for a second playthrough? No! You have to get the guns at the same times you did in your first time around.
It's the difference between Resident Evil 4 and Resistance FOM, one allows you to carry everything over, the other is an anal b*****d about what you can and can't have and when you get it.
Guess which approach...
They're giving Altair the ability to swim (something a skilled assassin shouldn't be incapable of doing)? Good, then they can patch the original, can't they.
Get an Xbox
Unless you're too busy making stuff up about Team Ico that is
Calling Chris Hanson. Calling Chris Hanson.
They should have kept Kodu cooking until they had a name as snappy as LittleBigPlanet. Which they're obviously, ahem, 'inspired' by.
The only worthwhile KZ2 story I've seen here. Spoiling the ending of this pathetically overhyped, overreported game.
The gaming year doesn't begin until March. Roll on March and the interesting games that go with it.
