1) Sony isn't known for being 'one big happy family', i.e. different companies within the Sony banner wouldn't necessarily work for the benefit of other branches of Sony. As in, Sony Pictures coming to an agreement with SCE. Which leads me to:-
2) There's apparently versions for the X360, Wii, and probably other console versions I'm forgetting (the handhelds?) that would end up being junked, as well as possibly the PS2 version (GB goes PS3 exclusive) which Sony Pictures might...

Well guess what! Sony has another Gears followed by another Halo too! Though in Sony's case that'd be 'another Resistance followed by another Killzone'.
Besides LBP, what do we know about these 'other, more original games' Sony has? THEY WON'T SHOW THEM!
