Why did Sony not continue working on CELL? For the PS5?
I weren't sure if a 90+ AAA next gen game wouldn't be profitable, even at an install base of 10mio consoles (which is increasing daily). What true next-gen game is out there? It's sad no developer tries and is brave enough to deliver a stunning next-gen game right at the launch. What would prevent people buying it?
“Foliage, for example. Instead of some really detailed next gen stuff you still get “sheets” and the resolution is the only thing to change.”
But, you know, that's a good point he is making. From a business standpoint I don't understand it either, to still support last gen. A true next-gen AAA title could sell very well, too, just look at the installed hardware base just right now and it would probably be sold with every new next gen console that's getting purchas...

The NAT Type 2 of your PSN screenshot indicates you used a wireless connection.
To add something: I don't get the previous talk about the nonsense of exclusive titles, either. There are two things a company tries to get people buy their console. 1.) offering a great machine. 2.) creating games you want, no, you have to have played. And that's only possible with exclusive and not with a multi-plat like CoD.
Well ... somehow of course he's right with what he's saying. At the very end, the gamers will profit from Microsoft and Sony busting their creative asses to win as many people over as possible, as it is quite a tie between 360 and PS3 both look at. So, no hard feelings for Call of Duty so far. Nonetheless, of course, CoD is ... I don't even know what it is anymore but a I-don't-have-a-clue-why-mi llion-seller. But that's another topic.
Wonder why they did go for the Cloud, while the Universe could storage more than 300.000 servers than a single cloud. Heck, how do I know.
Uncharted on PS4? A sweet dream! But ... is it just me or does anyone else rather see another The Last Of Us?
Is it just me? Besides all the talk: It could be the best generation of consoles and games. I truly believe that we all will profit from where Sony and Microsoft are coming from and where they heading towards now. Just look at the past 8 years. PS2 dominated, X360 turned the game in favor for Microsoft, PS3 gained ground and eventually suprassed X360 in worldwide sales but still losing a huge piece of market share in the US by doing so.
So what we have now is a big, full-tens...
Even if you have to choose between PS3 and the 360 which console deserves to be in a "Best of the last 20 years"-list it's really tough to lay a final verdict. PS3, as you could probably speak for, had a better and much more unique software lineup, especially in its last years. The 360 had the better online support. Maybe it'd be a tie. But then again - a tie wouldn't mean the 360 be on the second place and the PS3 on the seventh. Personally, I really doubt the 360 has h...
I guess it's time for ... KEVIN BUTLER TO RETURN!!!
It's been 19 years since Microsoft entered the console business. What is Microsoft's value of the software library relative to Sony? 19 years. Not 5 or 10 years, but 19 years. Microsoft initially only wanted to take a part of the big cake, which is not reprehensible. Sony, however, wanted to bring game worlds to CD, expand possibilities. You can say what you want: Sony has never lost its original vision. Microsoft hasn't found it yet.
