nothing innovative. no price drops. no new model. same old mario, zelda, smash brothers, metroid, etc. from 20 years ago.
Wii fit and wii music will bomb in America and Europe. The only place those will sell remotely well, is japan.

the only place this will sell remotely well is Japan. Americans love their guitar hero and rock band. Wii Music will probably seem ridiculous and stupid compared to other music games like GH in America. EU might have better sales than america, but nothing spectacular.
The peak year of the wii was 07 IMO. i think it'll sell less this year than it did last year. just my prediction >_<

face it. the ps3 wins this year against the 360. 2006 was the peak year of 360 hardware sales. The only thing it can do now is decline until it stops selling.
the ps3, on the otherhand, is poised to take up the position the 360 will lose, and keep that position for the next 5 years.

the ps2 had a decent, but not so good first year. the Wii had an incredible first year. the ps2 was not that welcome in its first year. The wii was very welcome in its first year. Basically, the Wii and ps2 have little in common for their first years.
the ps2 had a nice bell curve with its sales. the Wii will have the opposite of a bell curb, based on its first year sales. i'm predicting it will be more of a upside down checkm...

This year will change this nintendo domination in japan. MGS4 is automatically guaranteed to sell a bunch in Japan and GT5 will also be godly.
The PS3's is outselling the 360 in the EU regularly the past couple of weeks. America will eventually transition into the ps3 in '08 and definitely into '09, because they are fed up with all the hardware problems and the lack of promising games in the future.
Japan is the only place Sony should worry about. The 360 is basically non-existant in Japan, so Sony's only competition is Nintendo. Nintendo is dominating Japan right now. Just this last week the Wii sold ~ 200.000 units...
I think the 360 '08 line up won't be able to compare to the ps3 '08 line up. It appeals very much to the hardcore gamers, but the ps3 line up appeals to a wider demographic.
Little Big Planet, Afrika, Home, Killzone 2, White Knight Story, Final Fantasy XIII (possibly in December, not probable though), Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5, SOCOM Confrontation, Tekken 6, Haze, PSN games (like Soldner Himmelsturmer), Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, etc. appeal not only to hardcore gamers...
