Nothing is "next gen" now. It is all current gen, except for Wii U, IMO.
About the PS4, I know this is not what the article is referring to, but I feel sad that it was advertised to achieve wow 60 FPS with marvelous 1080p and now it already can do it only with PS3 relaunched games and indies. By the end of the gen we will probably be playing under below 30 FPS frame rates.

The problem is not the story, it is:
1. The storytelling being SO bad. The characters are unlikable and forgetable, and their eventual dialogue is just chit chat.
2. And, to be honest, nothing happens during THE WHOLE GAME. The events depicted on the game have no impact at all on the overall battle. It is a mere defense mission.
Such epic story, huh?
It might have an actually awesome lore, but ALMOST NOTHING of that is presen...
