Fallout 3 had a better atmosphere, story, setting and characters, the aiming down the sights enchancement was lost on me, VATS is what's up.

The average person doesn't know a majority of these even exist/happened, they simply look at the price, check out the games on it, and buy it. The companies themselves don't matter, or the console really, it's the games that back them up, time has shown this flawlessly time and time again.
Everyone I know buys a PS4 for the same reason, the exclusive games, anything other than those games are a complete bonus, with multiplatform games running better on PS4 than just totally seals the deal.
Went to Game with a friend last week and he got the TLOU PS4 bundle, he's been happily gaming his fingers away with the likes of Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne to keep him excited for the near future.
