On topic: the mansion screen reminds me of REmake, I really like it, I don't recall being able to use whips and such in Demon Souls.. this'll be interesting.

Not really, I don't know anyone who has owned one, or has kept theirs till now, Windows 8 and weaker hardware isn't doing any favours mate.
