Consoles master race
Right now the PS4 does not have a tough competition. Xbox One is competing to be above the xbox 360 and Nintendo is weak on the console market.
We have to see what Nintendo will bring.
Naughty Dog is on a legendary level where everything that comes from them can be categorized as breakout.
I don't game on Xbox but I have a surface 3 and already upgraded to Windows 10 and is working fine. I like 10 better than 8.1
Wow and those are PS4 only numbers. They didn't combined PS4 with PS3 just as Microsoft reported their numbers with xbox One and Xbox 360 combined.
PS4 is truly a phenomenon.
Well, Sony has always take more risks than MS when it comes to new IP. That is why many prefer Sony as they has a more diversified catalog of exclusives games than MS.
MS focus has always been shooters but you will not see games like Flower, Journey, The Last Guardian etc etc on xbox.
Maybe MS just know their audience and they stick with it without taking new risks. Who knows.
I don't think having a powerful control is the only problem that Nintendo is facing. How about a good network service on par with PSN or xlive?
Is going to be a difficult situation for Nintendo. One or 2 wrong moves and is over on the console market.

Judging by how the game failed to be a commercial success is just normal not to pursue an investment in making the game for other platforms.
I wanted to upgrade the same day but I think I will wait for user feedback. If everyone is reporting that is running ok then I will upgrade my surface 3 but I cannot risk it.
Competition is always needed so innovation keeps coming and people have options. Sony is dominating the console market but a competitor is needed so they don't get confident . That is why I hope Nintendo comes with a competitive console this time.
I downloaded it out of curiosity and I was instantly hooked with it. Now I dragged my friends too and we are having a good time. I Like that I can play against PC players too on my PS4.

Backward compatibility has never been a major selling point.
Only a small group make use of this feature. That is why Sony took it out on the PS3.
BC is going to be a good limited feature on Xbox One that can bring value to those who like play old games. But pretending that that feature will completely change the x1 position makes no sense.
Judging by previous analysis on 1080p titles on x1 including Digital Foundry, the problem with this is the things that must be sacrificed in order to achieve 1080p on x1. For example the shadows, weather systems etc etc
Maybe if they just go with 900p they can find a balance.
Good games sell so good on PS4. Look at Batman.

There has been no good line up of games on xbox one since last year. Bringing a line up at the end of the year while the whole year was lacking is not good but I do hope that at least the fanbase support those games since is going to be a furious holidays with some mega multiplatform games than can leave every other exclusives game in the dust.
