How much do you think is an appropriate amount for an OS, though?
Personally, I'd be "happy" to pay £50 for a primary computer and then £25 for any additional licenses.
Vista itself wasn't cheap, so it isn't looking good for 7. Here's hoping there's a good deal for multiple licenses, particularly with many households now having more than one PC.
In theory, I'd like to get 7 Home Premium on my work PC, my HTPC and my notebook. But as with most shoppers these days, I don't wanna break the bank. Under £100 for three licenses would do nicely. :)
I'm gonna give it a try, even though my chances are slim to none lol.
Here's hoping for a UK launch, I'd actually consider buying one if I could.
ATI was acquired by AMD in 2006, but the ATI branding remains on many products so it's a little confusing.
I'll probably pick up both, and then put one down. Which one remains to be seen. :)
Hasn't just been quiet on the GT front, though. It's been quiet on the racing front... I haven't thoroughly enjoyed a racing game since Forza 2, and that was a while back.
Can't wait to pick up GT5 and FM3. Might need to try out Race Pro in the meantime.
Would prefer a legitimate version, though. And the 64-bit edition.
Anybody managed to get the download? Servers are really being hammered :)
I wonder how many people will consider trading in an old console for a new Jasper? I know I'd consider it.
Do let us know if anybody in the UK spots a console manufactured on or after October 23rd.
A lot more info on Jasper can be found here: http://gaming.hexus.net/con...
The article may be slightly misinterpreted. It isn't opposed to the Xbox 360 at all, in fact, its closing statement reads:
"The price cuts are hugely appealing, and the Xbox 360 in our opinion does offer great value for money. However, with a new-and-improved console just around the corner, the right time to buy could be just a few weeks away."
It's simply reminding customers that an improved Xbox 360 isn't far off.
I think it's an interesting option for those who still have working launch consoles. Despite the 360's unreliable history, I do believe that newer models are far less prone to failure - and for new owners, this Lian Li chassis is largely of no use.
However, if your launch console still works, and you want to make it cooler and possibly a little quieter, the Lian Li chassis looks like a good option. Personally I think it'd be fun to put together, too. :)
I think I'll just stick to the next Guitar Hero!
Waited too long for Rock Band to arrive in the UK, and when it did, it was over priced. Once the pricing reached a reasonable level, Rock Band 2 was announced!
Nevermind the UK situation though, you've got to feel for the Aussies, they're still waiting for Rock Band to launch.
The next Guitar Hero might be called "World Tour" for a reason...
That's exactly what I thought...until I checked and found an extra 500 MS Points in my account.
Spent them quickly before Microsoft begins to miss them. Geometry Wars 2 here I come... :)
Always nice to hear other gamers agree :)
Just a quick note to say that the list may have been slightly misunderstood. It isn't just five must-have games, it's five must-have games that some people may have overlooked.
Granted, titles like Gears, Bioshock, Forza etc are arguably the very best games - but they're also at the forefront of the public's attention, they're near impossible to miss.
This was a list of five games that may have been missed, but really ought to be played. In my opinion, of course....
Hi all,
I wrote the article in question and have just updated it after being called by a Microsoft rep. Please refresh the article to see the update.
After reading the comments, I should also point out that this isn't about Sony vs Microsoft. This is about Microsoft customers being treated right. I write for a website called 'weplayxbox' and the Xbox 360 is indeed my console of choice right now. I just sympathise with all those who've sent their 360s away recentl...
Unfortunate, but inevitable
