While i agree with you, i think the biggest push will be how much faster devices will adopt 8k vs 4k. Like realistically youtube, phones, cable, streaming devices... all could offer an 8k option in less than 3 years. Im getting the next years lg oled 8k and basically ill only have 2 years or less to wait for content... but ill be ready and most likely with vsync and whatever amazing thing comes next year... im the opposite of the bud light comercial... for the few not the many

When gen 9 kicks off proper as early as march 2020... streaming will be the next big push. Sony very well may let you play their games over a cell phone or tablet and the resolution and frames per second will be dependant on your portable device and internet. Meaning, in 2020 march the new galaxy and iphone will launch and have this in mind... by then i fully expect 50% more phones to match what tvs do now... 4k 60 for all games sounds like a dream but in just over a year it could be reality ...

My reason too bro. I bought my sister a switch for xmas the year before last and it didnt take me long to play what i was interested in. Im a sony pony but my fav i.p. is undoubtedly on a Nintendo console. Its funny because just like the Nintendo fanboys on this website... i used to be just like them.
