Wow it sounds like bioware is doing a good job with the co-op. I, like a lot of other Mass Effect fans really didn't want any kind of multiplayer to ruin the singleplayer experience but it seems that it will turn out good considering this article

I really enjoyed the first spellforce PC game even though it didn't get great reviews, to me this game looks quite a bit like that. I haven't played the demo so can anyone confirm if its anything at all like that? obviously you don't command you army but it looks similar in some respects

Nothing stands out to be better in either versions. No one will know the difference when theyre playing it unless one version is more stable.
