Ive got a very similar TV to yours (Bravia, 40" (Only capable of 1080i though)), and I am looking forward to play on a Next-Gen console now more than ever.
Wii isnt next gen. Its a repackaged Gamecube and it sucks, and the 360 has never grabbed me.
Anyway, IMHO £425 is not that bad.
Its what ive expected, and its a decent price.

Im sure that 50GB can be compressed somewhat (Unless its a compressed figure alread) to around 35GB if its really worked on, but dont expect miracles.

played it. Was...good...but it didnt have a 'wow' factor to me.
I personally think MGS is the best thing to ever happen to games, but like the above poster said, we all have different views.

If you state that the PS3 is only for movies, then you actually have a great deal. A incredibly cheap Blu-Ray player which has many excellent games on it now, and has a debateably superior looking future to that of MS and Nintendo in terms of games.
