Actually, if you look at PS2, many people who owned that, wernt exactly 'big spenders' and many people brought movies for their PS2.
I dont see a reason for this to change with PS3.
Im not stating that PS3 will be the 'Be all, end all' factor of HD DVD and Blu-Ray, but I damn well tell you itll be a very signifact boost as most HD DVD and Blu-Ray players will be pricey till atleast christmas 2007 (I could be wrong)
1080p will be availible in 75% games after about 4 months of the PS3s release.
As for you TheMART, well you dont even have a say in this, as every other 360 owner, since you cant even play 1080p in any of your games !

3.A Blu-Ray disc takes little more money to produce than a DVD.
And it doesnt matter if HD DVD is out selling Blu-Ray 15:1,
as barely as HD DVD and Blu-Ray sales have ensued.
Normally, I would give it a few years until the market does start to buy these formats, but Ill tell you that when the PS3 launches, in just about the first 6 months, I predict that Blu-Ray will outsell HD DVD 3...
Im not sure if this was mentioned previously, but I think you should know that a Blu-Ray can go faster than 2x.

Every movie released in the UK is priced between £20-25, so to pay the same price for a HD version of the movie is a no-brainer for me when I have a HDTV (Ironically one that is advertised on this site. A 40V2000)
