Just did a profile on this game's developer. def a winner.
You know, I'm not altogether mad it's only on ps4 and pc only, BUT, It would have been nice to see if they could have made SFV the first game played cross-platform on online servers.
It was monday when it was posted. Thanks, lol.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
I didn't write this particular piece, my colleague did. Be that as it may, I don't feel its a doom-and-gloom piece at all. He just wanted to discuss what a shift on focus could possibly mean. He just said the main focus would be smaller indie titles, and that does seem to be the case. Doesn't mean it will never see a big title again.
We both own PS Vita's and we love them to death. The last thing either of us wants is its failure.
It's kinda hard as a Sony fan to support a developer who isn't making games for your console. That's the part I don't get about "Sony fans didn't support Bungie before." What were they supposed to do, buy a copy of Halo they couldn't play?
Fair assessment.
I do see a lot of Assassins Creed as well. I mentioned it but I could have stated it better. However, I feel like most modern open world games are shaped by GTA somehow. In my humble opinion, this is no exception.
I dont think it was trying to be GTA, and if the piece gave you that feeling I apologize. I think it did a lot to separate itself and that is mainly why I wrote it in the first place. In any event, thank you for reading and sharing ...
Gotta remember it came out on a Friday. VGChartz numbers end on Saturday. So that's 2 days of sales.
I feel like the issue with most people isn't pixel counting or things of that sort. It's the feeling that the game is moving backwards. We see it at E3. Amazing. Then follow up demos and such looked equally exciting. Now we are 2 months away and the next thing we see looks notably worse. Not horrible, but worse than before. Shouldn't it look better? Or at least just as good? It looks worse, and some of the features that excites us are no longer present. That seems to be what the u...
I actually discussed how it could affect Infamous with a friend. The biggest way is of course taking the moral choices out of your hands.
On dead nation the feature says Broadcast+ on the main menu. That's where I got the name from.
This is the last comment I'm allowed.
Just want to say Im enjoying the comments. I see a lot of you have formed an opinion of me. That's cool. You think I hate Nintendo and think the Wii U is trash. You're wrong. I don't think that at all. What I DO think is that a good amount of gamers who own multiple consoles tend to favor one. You buy the one you want most first, and get the others later.
Most would like their second console to probably ge...
To Eaise - I have been gaming all my life. I dont think its fair to question my credibility because I decided that I don't care for the games on the Wii U enough to buy it. The fact of the matter is I had the same feeling about the Wii. Yet I bought one thinking eventually I would find games I like on it. And it never really happened. I bought a total of 3 games for it in 5 years. Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit. It doesn't mean there weren't more, because there were. But I d...
I really wish I could find someone with a Wii U so I could play this game. I'd buy the game and I'd even let them have it after I'm done. It's that serious. If I thought I would play the Wii U after I was done with this I would buy one. But I know I won't and I'm not into throwing money away. Maybe my kids will ask for one down the road.
To Axios:
"The company sold 7.4 million Xbox console units into the retail channel, including 3.9 million Xbox One consoles and 3.5 million Xbox 360 consoles.
Bing search share grew to 18.2% and search advertising revenue grew 34%."
Yet no revenue or profit numbers for either. They specifically spoke on Surface revenue doubling, yet here they remain vague about the financials. Interesting to me.
What divisions were responsible for this profit? Is there a breakdown?
Yeah the console biz has almost always worked that way. Sell hardware at a loss, make it up on the software side. Im guessing that the reason Xbox division is viewed as non essential to some is the fact that in its lifetime it is in the red I believe. If it is in the black it isnt by much. I guess long term they dont believe it will be fruitful enough to make it worth the effort. I don't agree with that line of thinking personally.
Titanfall may have more hype but at least the creators have a track record for quality AAA titles. They have earned a little benefit of doubt. Ready at Dawn is primarily known for PSP games (Daxter, 2 God of War games) and have never been at the helm of a project this hyped or this big. Im not saying any will fail. Just saying proper perspective is always best.
TBH The Order was the game that prompted this. I feel its being built up so fast and it could backfire. Ready at Dawn has a good solid pedigree but this is new territory for them. I think we should make them show and prove before they get the benefit of the doubt.
I (Robyn, from Ourcade) kinda agree with Zerg. At some point the grind for weapons becomes moot when you can craft better ones. Creates a lull in some of the missions when the things you can pick up aren't worth it anymore.
