1. Don't compare a great series to Battlefield, that game isn't worthy of the comparison.
2. Halo hasn't made a bad move for gameplay in a game yet.
3. Halo is a game with space travel, the logical move to enhance gameplay would be to go into space.
I only anticipate pure greatness from Halo:Reach, also, its the closest thing to Star Wars, also Mass Effect.
At least they wont charge us $20 for the transfer cable.

And, to answer the question, No. A new SONY console was done last year to boost sales, the repeat buyers that had a PS3 fat will not buy a new console for the 2nd year in a row.

Halo is a terrific series & people buy it in large numbers because the game-play is 2nd to none!
This isnt NPD, and if it isnt, youre counting pack-ins.
The most trusted source for industry numbers is NPD, now this fool goes to the least trusted source for industry numbers with VGChartz.
VGChartz count pack-ins or as investors would call it, giveaways. This fool wants to count giveaways, ok, I wouldn't invest my money in a site that tracks illusions of a sale.

NPD will show for the month that Alan Wake, though, against 4 games, including RED DEAD REDEMPTION, will outsell Heavy Rain. Also, it was sold way away from game buying season.
VGChartz doesn't count pack-ins & overseas we cant see all of the give aways Heavy Rain enjoyed.
According to NPD, Alan Wake will outsell Heavy Rain.
The only game that moved the needle was GT & it was a pack-in when it moved the needle. Even GT5 Prolog sold like crap month 1 (NPD).
The rest of those games sold like garbage on their own.
Halo:Reach is going to outsell half of those games by itself & Fable 3 will outsell the rest: all in month 1 (NPD)!
Article written by someone that doesn't know sales. This is the off season, also, Red Dead Redemption was supposed to sell in the millions but it didn't.
Alan Wake did what it was supposed to do, also, its WAAAYYY better than that overrated POS Heavy Rain.
Alan Wake is the 3rd best game Ive played this year after Mass Effect 2 & Red Dead.
11. Campaign co-op, not cheap @ss side mission co-op, but campaign co-op!
12. No more re-spawning enemies.
13. No more scripted events.
With those 13 corrections (my 3 + IGN's 10) would make for a worthy competitor when it releases.
