But they aren't entirely the same turn base. Fire Emblem mostly be the same with new mechanics and HD visual on Wii U.

WRONG. Nintendo 64 didn't have next to any third party support because of Nintendo decision to stay with cartridges to get away from loading time. It was also expensive and not enough capacity space which lead FFVII ported to PS1.
And the fact that N64 sold 32m off Nintendo and Rare games plus a few exclusives and some PC ports. Super Mario 64 being the best-selling 5th generation game outselling Gran Turismo despite PS1 selling 105m.

No the 3DS demo version is a tutorial. Vita demo version is Chapter 1 Prologue.
Uh you can transfer them to Wii U via Wii Mode.
