For me.
1. Generation IV - Got into the competitve scene and completed the Pokedex.
2. Generation VI - Got really serious even more in the competitive scene.
3. Generation III - Was doing everything I can to complete that Pokedex!
4. Generation II - I beat Red with just my Typhlosion oh that that day of using Flamethrower, Iron Tail, Earthquake and some of other move it had.
5. Generation I - Wasn't so serious but now that I have Red again on VC on...

And why would they show anything yet.
We all know every trailer Nintendo releases for a new game that is the first trailer shown always get a lot of hate.
Star Fox Zero, Super Mario 3D World, Hyrule Warriors and so on.
Besides I am sure they are saving it for the next big Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo doesn't follow trends. They don't say a system will last 10 years or whatever. Every system lasted 5 except Wii which was 6.
