I haven't played anything on my Vita in months. Also never bothered with Remote Play.
Was going to get Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for Vita but that 30fps and worst loading time ever in gaming. I went and got the PS4 version.
It just sitting there on my bed with my other stuff.

if Japanese then yes and truly need it. As NES-SNES success was because of it. GC had some amazing timed or exclusives Japan games.
And Nintendo Handheld has been amazing with Japanese games. Especially the DS and 3DS library of exclusives Japanese franchises and games and which many great franchises started on those system.
Nah what they really tried was trying to blend Sonic and Nights.
Take what you did with Sonic Colors and you don't have anything to worry about.

Yes I have. Soul Calibur II was one of my top 5 GameCube games I owned.
I had both GC and PS2 version. Preferred the GC version because of Link.
No it would be the same franchise.
I got into the franchise for the fact that Link was badass character in Super Smash Bros.
Him being a male did wonder for me. Making The Legend of Zelda my favorite gaming franchise and Link being my number one character in all Smash games.
So having a gender option wouldn't be smart especially this late. Your best bet is to just play Hyrule Warriors series.
Well not in Twilight Princess. Zelda was short of less relevant in that game.

I don't get the whole new system log on stuff. Are gamers that irresponsible or bad luck in taking care of their systems.
If a game is getting remade or remastered after being out less than 3 years the yes.
If it's being remastered or remade but with new features that the new system allow it to have and fixed a lot of issues the game had before then no.
But if it just remastered as in just upscaled to HD. Then DEFINITELY cash grab.

Something like this came be done in RPG Maker.
Basically:
Set a gym leader event where when you talk to them. 8 condition are applied.
-If having no badges they will accept your challenge and their Pokemon will be set to lowest level and evolution.
-So they will check how many badges you have and then decide their Pokemon.
