More like a disturbing game, but people seem to care about it.
I believe this is part of the reason she's gaining so much attention. The gender swap aspect is triggering people who are sick of the "gender is a spectrum" notion that has seeped into western culture. Meanwhile, everyone can agree she's incredibly hot. She's like a mother figure, the ideal girlfriend, a feminist icon, and an anti-feminist icon (because she's actually sexy, high-status and shaves her legs).
It literally takes 10 seconds to sign the petition.

Your writing needs improvement.
I didn't realize we're allowed to post fan art articles. In that case, I'll post some too!
Your image link is broken.

There's risk in changing things. Customers are very resistant to changes. Just look at any fandom from Star Wars to Nintendo game fandoms. People develop a very rigid idea of what they want from their creators, and will only financially support content that strictly follows their idea of what the content should be like. This leaves creators with little room to make their own decisions: the markets are tyrannical. Changing anything is risky in this environment.

Holy crap. And I thought Nintendo is winning hands down in the handheld market.
