This is only an estimate of sales numbers, not actual sales numbers. I'm new at n4g and I would like to know why is vgchartz so hated among the n4g and the gaming community?
Wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 reached 20 million by the end of 2014.
It will take years for gamers to adopt 4K resolution. 4K in terms of adoption is like HDTV back in 2006-2007. It will eventually gain widespread acceptance but 2014 is not the year. Maybe by 2018-2020.

This is what I am saying, the Xbox One needs a price drop to compete with the PS4. If the PS4 drops to $349, then that would further accelerate sales, widening the already large sales gap between the competing consoles. And FYI, the PS4 cost $381 to make, so if they do drop the price to $349, then they would not take as huge of a loss. The PS3 at launch cost $800 dollars to make, but they were selling it for $500-$600(depending on what model you got at the time), so they lost $200-$300 dollar...
I know. The PS4 is selling extremely well for the short time it's been out. It does not need a price drop. However, the Xbox one does need a price drop in order to compete with the PS4 and it better happen soon. Remember Don Mattrick said that the first console to reach 10 million units sold wins the generation.

Im saying that only certain genres of games really benefit from 60fps. Eventually, PS4 and Xbone will hit 1080p/60fps. Its too early in this generation for us to really see the true power of next-gen consoles. Compare Resistance: Fall of Man, a PS3 exclusive launch title which was released in 2006 to The Last of Us, a PS3 exclusive that came out in 2013. I think 1080p needs to be the norm for this gen. Let the devs decide 30fps or 60fps. 60fps is only needed in certain genres of video games such as FPS, sports games and racing games.
They may not be entirely true, but at least they are in the correct ballpark. they have great methods of determining sales data. Let gamers decide if they ant t believe vgchartz or not. So stop trying to troll.
