Wii U was basically Nintendo's early concept of the Switch when it was released. It didn't fully flesh out their concept of the Switch and was released prematurely.

I've always loved single player games. I love exploration. For me happiness in a game is exploring a world. Discovery is my thing. Multiplayer is usual not about that. It's usually about competition. When it comes to online gaming there seems to be less appreciation for graphics and the world in the game. Because the online player has no time for that. They're focused on themselves and winning. It's showing off and bragging rights. Which is fine. It's just not for me.
I don't know what's happening with gaming. It's been a wild trip. I mean not in my wildest dreams in 1979 while playing my Atari could I imagine the world of gaming we see today.

It's the look and choices in the game. It seems old. For example the being able to buy food and having detailed images of each meal. So Japanese lol.
It'll never get better than this. Sure will still have a few good release coming our way, but we won't have so many great games out at once in a year. I think 2018 was the peak for this gen. Now begin the declining years for this gen and focus on the next gen consoles, PS5 and XboxTwo or whatever they'll call it.
No crap. Japan has been lagging behind the west for a while now. I played God of War, AC Odyssey, Far Cry 5 and RDR2 and then I thought I would try FF15. It was like going back a decade or more. It has this old school outdated 90's feel to it.

I can't get into this game. It's mostly colorful holographic floating light puzzles you gotta line up. I got bored. Talk about an over hyped game.
I own both Xbox One & PS4. I would say easily PS4 has the best exclusives on the market.

One of my biggest fears that will lose story telling in video games. That the video games industry will only be driven by online competitive games like COD and Fortnite. Where it essentially becomes just a sporting competition.
