Sony screwed up the PS3 launch with the $599 price tag and Riiidge Racer and Giant Enemy Crabs and the bad luck Spider-Man movie font for the Playstation 3 logo on the console.
Then next gen the Xbox One screwed their launch when they announced the console had to always be online to play games and after gamers whined about it they had to reverse course, but the damage was done.

It's hard to go back to these sort of games when I've played so many modern games in the last year. RE2 Remake has a very old school sensibility about it. Which makes sense. Guess I'm saying it's not for me.
