Everyone knows 1Up has been salivating to trash Killzone 2 like a dog chained next to a piece of meat out of reach and now they are being let loose.

The PS3 has been outselling the 360 in the UK for a very long time as confirmed by ChartTrak.
ChartTrak gave an idea of how fake the vgchartz numbers were when they talked about the massive 360 price cut doubling 360 sales and bringing them near PS3 levels. In other words the PS3 had been outselling the 360 by 2:1 in the months before the latest 360 price cut.

The guy at Microsoft must have mistakenly meant 1 million ahead in the UK and not all of Europe.
There shouldn't be anyone now who still clings to the notion that vgchartz is anything but the delusions of the Xbox fan who runs the site after Microsoft made their 5 million lead comment exposing the extra 1.6 million 360 sales on the site as nothing but a fraud.
I guess this is where we all are supposed to pretend this is some sort of neck and neck race between the PS3 and the 360 to prove how reasonable we all are.

There were 105+ million PS1 owners who all made the transition to the PS2 last gen.
105+ million PS1 owners who had a choice to buy a:
Dreamcast
Xbox
GameCube
and instead bought PS2s.
Sony has sold more PS2s since the 360 launched than Microsoft has sold in its entire time in the console market.
Gamers outside of the core US based Halo type crowd just aren't interested in Microsoft console offerings.
There are around 50 million PS2 owners in the US/Canada/North America.
The vast majority of those sales were well into the last console gen when the system prices were down in the 200 dollar range.
The six million or so 360 owners in the US/Canada are going to be a drop in the bucket compared to the gigantic numbers of PS2 owners who will be buying PS3s over the next few years.
The 360 is selling to virtually identical people as the first Xbox.
Basically no one in Japan.
Effectively dead outside of the UK in Europe.
Leaving Microsoft once again relying on the same US for the vast majority of their support.

I think the admission that the 360 only had a 5 million installed base lead by Microsoft themselves and not the fake 6-7 million vgchartz numbers was a bit of a shock to many people.
Along with the news that the PS3 had already passed by the European installed base even though the 360 launched some 15 months earlier.
Many people are still holding on to the bogus vgchartz sales rates that vastly overstated how well the 360 was actually doing.
This really shouldn't be surprising to anyone who actually played Resistance.
