I agree with all of the points above and agree that reviews are needed in the gaming industry. The gaming industry is not what it used to be, now you have behemoth size developers that are going to sell games simply because of the hype they generate. So making decisions like holding review copies till release day will become more and more the norm. The article was simply pointing out that reviews don't have the influence they once did.
