It sold well for what it is, but it's still a niche market. It only shows that the niche market is quite sizable. I hope they will sell even more because it's a great game. Even among hardcore gamers I know people that don't like Souls games because of their difficultly level (I don't find Dark Souls 3 that difficult).
Given it's Vgcharts and also not accounting for digital I would guess they sold over 2 million.
To be fair, on PC you have much better options for online racing especially when it comes to racing sims. Besides of that it's free.
That's fine by me. It was never going to become my go to game on PC for online racing.
Those licenses are usually timed just like EAs Star Wars license.

Rocksteady would depend. They made great Batman games because they really like Batman. If you make games based on IPs like that you need people that are really into it in order to get a good game out of it.

They made great consoles until the Gamecube and I always liked Nintendo, but what they did with the Wii and WiiU was just horribly bad. They completely lost the balance between trying new things and make something for your core userbase. Sure the Wii sold extremely well, but it was a horrible console and completely underpowered, lacking features and most games couldn't be played with...
I would never see R* doing that. I don't think anybody at R* would be that stupid. Maybe timed exclusive DLC, but not the game.

From the rumours so far the Neo doesn't sound appealing for me, but I don't think they will shoot themselves in the foot to give Nintendo an advantage. The current PS4 will still run the games as usual.
As for the spring launch. Launching the console there is just stupid on many levels. Sure games can perform well in spring but Nintendo basically looses all big games that come out for Christmas. They might have them on repease in spring, but that would be 3-5 months...
Yes, but Nintendo lost a lot of support from the more core audience and will probably again try to get a lot of mainstream gamers. E3 is the time where even normal news sites report about games and not just specialised gaming websites. To reach the largest audience possible for the reveal it would make a lot more sense to reveal it at E3, after all Nintendo consoles are family consoles and not just geared towards the core gamers.

Some season passes are good like the Boderland ones, but that one seems to be taking the piss. Not only is it high priced but it basically gives you skins. Having the maps only for pirvate matches is stupid as well. They orientate themselves on the modle of F2P games with the difference that you can use the characters in the F2P game not only in private matches..
