I like Battlefield 3 more than modern warfare because it feels more like a war. The game is great fun and I'm so hyped for it. Been playing the beta religiously on my PS3 since thursday and just can't get enough of it. Problem is it's buggy as hell. They didn't seem to mention the glitch in which you can't aim down the sight of your gun and have to switch to secondary then back to primary to remedy the problem. That's one of my biggest issues if I'm honest as it's cost me kills and entire games because I wasn't able to kill off attackers and defuse the detonators on my teams M-Com Station.

You left out Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Ico, Shadow of The Colossus, Forbidden Siren, Mad World.....plenty of gory, dark games in Japanese culture. I'd argue that character/setting and artistically, Japanese are far more creative. Where as western devs are better on the technical sides of things. That's just my opinion. But to label all Japanese games in a certain light based on 2 NINTENDO franchises is ridiculous.
I think we are as well. I played this game at Eurogamer this weekend on PC, PS3 and 360 and I swear to god the PS3 version looked better and all 3 versions were glitch/bug free. I would have noticed as I was playing the console versions on a much bigger screen to the one I have at home as well. It's almost definitely an old build.

At it's core, BF3 is such a fun game to play, all the politics, hype and controversy surrounding it are irrelevant in my eyes. Sure I'm playing the PS3 version which may not be as good as the PC version but its the most fun I've had with an FPS ever in my life and I hardly even like the genre. Can't wait for the full release.

I swear I must have been playing a different PS3 build to the BETA at Eurogamer because I honestly thought it looked good. And I was playing it close up on a 32" OLED Samsung TV. The campaign looked great as well. Ah well. Can't wait for tomorrow.
Lol Kotaku shit stirring once again. It's a well known fact that people who have worked on 360 games are perfectly viable to work on PS3 exclusives as well, especially when the developer in question is developing on a multiplatform engine. I'm almost 100% certain people who have developed solely on 360 have moved on to work on PS3 exclusively and vice versa.
Either way, multiplatform or not the game just needs to hurry up and release.

The graphics look good though lol That the thing. But I have to say where it shines is the gameplay. The game just feels 'right' to play. The recoil is on the top heavy end but it adds an urgency for precision that a lot of other FPS games don't demand. The immersion is top notch too. The Beta is an old build a month behind the one DICE is working on. The bugs and glitches will be fixed, and based off of the BETA complaints, I think the guns will be balanced more as well. The flashlights NEED to be toned down as well. They're a noobs best friend. It's ok if you're in a dark tunnel but people abuse them in broad daylight simply because it blinds the person trying to shoot at them.
