Where trust becomes a real thing, without it you are alone, with it you could have potentially some amazing ingame friends who will help you survive the squad of militarized guys coming down the road. The pop in seems to be prevalent with CryEngine. I know Miscreated suffers from the same thing.
Why all the hate? Would it have been better has an episodic release? Yes, perhaps. I picked it up for 9.97 at BestBuy and enjoyed every second of it. The story is fantastic if you actually pay attention and can understand third grade English. The weapons behave differently from one another and sound different from each other as well. The voice acting, especially the delivery, is excellent. The main character is a badass and Nikola Tesla is a champion of a character.

its an option. some people (like myself) hate singleplayer. i have red dead 2 and cant even make it passed the opening sequence. i like to pvp and buy games strictly for the competition. id hate to have to plow through a games story just to get a character.
