I didn’t play msg until 5. I never bought 4 because I knew what it was lol. I bought the last of us because of hype and I bought hellblade because of the Norse mythology. I call some games “movie games” but it’s not to insult them, I’m just describing them. I think hellblade and the last of us would have been better movies than games. Witcher 3 had me hooked. Really fun. One day I did nothing but be a Gwent shark. I was kinda disappointed with stand alone gwent game. It was fun but it got a lot more complicated with all of the added features. I still prefer the base gwent and I think they should add that mode.

It’s not just linear and non-linear. There are many forms of linear. Your example of bioshock is a great one for linear done right. Dead space is another one. These games are rarely seen anymore, they have been replaced with another kind of linear. The cinematic game.
