Crackdown is a pretty basic game. And MS backing the game to make it a Cloud Compute demo for the whole world to point to and say "That's what we want." It's more for how they sell MS Azure Cloud to the world. They're making billions off Cloud business already and if they control the web based gaming market by having Cloud compute running small scale games but looking gorgeous for Web based gaming...Their profits will increase.
Crackdown is simple... We ...
Take Dragons... And Platinum and throw in a solid marketing campaign. It can sell. You just GOT TO BELIEVE!
Translation: Microsoft greenlit our pitch. That "Ton of money" thing is so overused.
It's a Platinum Games project. They got the talent. MS has the financial support and Technical assistance.
Chief is a Spartan II and has nearly indestructible bones. A building coming down on him wouldn't kill him. But a Guardians seismic wave could obliterate Chief.
It's ONI though... Never trust ONI.
If you ever read the books... The shady things ONIs done.
That's probably the Guardians attacking a planet and then Chief goes AWOL and they release a cover story.
The two main highlights of Cloud Compute atm are More AI & Destruction. Cloud Compute can be used to offload any tasks really but it's a thing Online Only games can take full advantage of.
I'm hoping to one day see MS invest some money in an MMO stylized game possibly a Halo Destiny. A lot can be done, but that wouldn't be for a long time.
Game confirmed to have populated NPC cities. There's an evil Emperor ruling over the land and part of Drews journey is to help the people of Draconis.
The game is pretty full of life, it has small mobs that spawn, as well as medium sized beasts like the Mantis. Massive beasts that you find in multiple dungeons throughout the world.
If you looked up more details about the game you'd know that it's got a lot to offer but is keeping most of it to th...
Skyrim sold extremely well on 360. So Scalebound with the right marketing and hype could do extremely well on X1. There is a craving for RPGs on Xbox. There's a craving for a GOOD Dragon game.
Bayonetta appeals to a smaller group of people. The Wii U and Xbox communities are very different as well. Xbox = Shooters/RPGs/PvP
Wii U = Family/Local
Scalebound is also unlike most of what Platinum has done and has a lot of factors that people who play t...
Framerate is what I'm worried the least about. All Platinum games strive for stable 60 FPS. I expect this to strive for stable 30 FPS being an Open World RPG.
Rift release window is Q1 2016
They've been working out the price and getting game support.
While also helping Samsung develop their VR headset "Gear VR($99).
When Facebook bought Oculus the budget for it went up and that meant implementing a strong money system for it. Apps and Software is where they plan to make money off Oculus.
Copying Sony? Obviously they look at their competitors but they're trying to find the right price fo...
Not a spoiler... Forerunners have been in Halo since beginning. Precursors are their creators.
This is established in the books and has been around for a long time.
For anyone who doesn't know... The Halo lore is pretty deep and has a lot to explore. I do hope that they follow the "Precursor Return" after the Forerunners have returned in the Reclaimer saga.
Halo trilogy would turn into a "Reaper Mass Effect" event and be Epic.
Plenty of Ready Up live videos for me to watch now. God I can't wait to dive into Halo 5 Arena and Warzone.
We all knew that this was going to happen when MS and Oculus partnered up for Rift.... Minecraft would hit it soon.
Notch may have been against it but now it's a reality.
There's always one.
Thank you god. Getting back into my 1v100 trivia made for some fun nights. If they bring back Fuzion Frenzy I could see myself having some fun nights with my brother on my Xbox rather than on my Wii U.
Seriously if you never played 1v100 you'll be in for a treat if you enjoy Trivia of any kind. If Don Mattrick had any brains he would've pitched 1v100 at the X1 reveal event for the TV focused crowd.
The reason people migrated was "Hype" and "Price".
Because games like Halo/Gears/Forza have no problem making a profit on one platform.
BUT when a spin off title like Spartan Assault or Halo Wars 2 hits they can help it make a profit and greenlight more sequels by increasing the install base.
Motorsport 5/6 are fine selling high numbers over a period of time. But Horizon 2 needed 360 to help it sell decently.
State of Decay sold well across 360 and PC helping Microsoft lock down a multi deal...
980 Ti is a solid GPU to keep you running strong for a while.
God I can't wait for Horizons. Ever since Elite Dangerous launched and the devs gave their future plans for what they wanted to add to Elite Dangerous I've been so pumped for how the game would grow. I love the concepts that they spoke of and I'm going to get Horizons for both of my copies of Elite Dangerous.
