I was considering purchasing an i7 that clocked at 3.0 +Ghz and also does it really matter if a game has a resolution higher than 1080p, seeing that I'm going to connect the pc to my Tv and if so can any resolution higher than 1080p be displayed on a Tv that can only go up to 1080p?....... The stuff that you mentioned (I think I have failed to mention) were made on hardware that is heavily restricted to that of a gaming Pc....... I was mentioning the graphical leaps that took place within a console think of it like this...... At first you learn how to tie your shoes, a simple knot would do for now. But later on in life you wanna do it a different way, so that you can take your shoe off while without exhausting yourse...

I'm guessin you weren't around during the life cycle(s) of a Playstation console (or any console for that matter) for example Ps1 it started off with a few blocky but good for it's time games, then it progressed to smoother looking games like final fantasy, syphon filter(mid to end life cycle) and what not..... Then the ps2 came out guess what graphical output it was maintaining, a 2.0 version of the mid to end life cycle of the PS1 and then guess what happened it...
Truth be told..... I actually like/ love MOH kill chain if that's the only thing close to COD I like about the game but then again I wouldn't like killchains in BF3 seeing how the a tomahawk can just about clear out 1/3 to 2/5 of a map with its blast radius and on top of that, it would bring havok within BF3.......
