I would argue that Gaming's own merits can completely dwarf that of cinema if they were utilised properly, i.e., where gameplay is given dynamical and contextual meaning as opposed to using cutscenes or filmic ideals to bring about a poor medium marriage. Good article none the less, got me thinking about why I don't like Heavy Rain or cinematic games aspiring to something while neglecting interactivity and gameplay.
Motion Plus is a decent improvement, if somewhat sneaky...
