Celebs have been helping promote games for years while some actually are gamers most are in it strictly for the money. But for the sake of do celebs sell games well a perfect example is the Kim Kardashian mobile game just look how much money that made because of Kim meanwhile take a game of a similar genre and see how much that made I can tell you it wont be close

honestly it depends on what type of game you want. If you want a open world game then rockstar but if you want a sandbox like combo heavy button masher game then platinum
