So even with two AAA games (killzone 2 and MLB 09: The Show) and a sequel to a game well known with the playstation brand the PS3 STILL failed to beat the 360, ouch.
Seems like a great lineup of exclusive wont be enough for the PS3 to beat the 360 this gen, who times have changed.
Also seem like Halo Wars outsold Killzone 2. Or in other words a game in the least most popular console genre outsold the PS3's biggest most hyped FPS (the most popular genre).
I think the reason for that is because last gen this kind of information wasnt released to the public and if it was it wasnt so easy to find
I really dont understand how this is possible, i mean Ninja Gaiden 2 (yes its a poor comparison) sold 1ml copies in 2 and a half months and that game had no ads, wasnt hyped, got average to good scores and was a hack/slash game not the most hyped PS3 game which is a FPS

Well if it were something like say MGS4, it would be a blow because Sony they themselves said it couldnt be done anywhere else so it would make them liars and it would make others think "is the PS3 really that much more powerful?"

My bet is a certain someone asked them if they want it to remain exclusive you gotta pay but they obviously said no, so now they're trying to cushion the blow which is coming at E3
I dont see the PS3 ever passing the 360 in the US either, as long as the 360 can keep neck and neck with the PS3 in EU its guaranteed to beat the PS3 this gen
Since having JP really means nothing this gen since even the UK market has surpassed it and the UK is practically the same as the US for MS

I wonder if Sony helps third party devs on the marketing side of things when they go exclusive to the PS3, because i look at games like LBP and dont remember it being advertised well. At least MS helps devs get their moneys worth on staying exclusive.

Why would it need to be when the majority of its sales will be on the 360 anyway, MS wont bother spending money when the 1st one was all they needed to guarantee the 2nd ones success on their platform
