Its still just Amazon though. The 360 still manages to sell well even while being out of the top 100 so this really doesnt count for much, but a boost is a boost i guess.

It would be quite funny if the 360 still continued to outsell the PS3 after this, but maybe Sonys new ads might help get their value message across. But to a person who just wants to play games and nothing else which console would they choose hmmmm.......
Cant be due to Sony cause the new box shots were released before Sony announced the Slim and not to mention the phasing out was already taking place. It doesnt take a week to mass produce a new SKU.
no its not desperation its strategy, Sonys was desperation because they were falling behind their competitors and needed to catchup. They wouldnt still be marking a loss with the slim if it was about profit they would have kept the price high
Well at least MS isnt being stupid and is actually doing something in reaction to Sonys pricecut even if it is just a changing of a model, cause now they wont have to worry that there will be a dip in sales of people waiting for their reaction which caused the PS3s sales to decrease

Sure they may have a HDTV in their house but it doesnt mean its connected to the PS3 in their room, i can remember there being an article taking about this too.

Without showing actual games this ad could backfire, most PS3 owners dont even have HDTVs or use online so none of this stuff will matter to them. Sony should be focusing on ads for games thats what MS and Nintendo do and it works wonders.

Thats a pretty decent ad especially when you compare it to the random ads they've showen in the uk in the past like that dog in a washing machine.
But the one thing i think is wrong with it is it doesnt mention a single thing about its games. People arent going to buy a 'games' console just cause it can do all that stuff the games should have a least been shown once.

Well it seems it will all come down to software now and with the 360 you got H:ODST, Forza and L4D2 while on the PS3 all you have is U2. And if those preorder charts are anything to go by the 360 could easily win this holiday again.

PirateThom do you well a truly believe that MS hasnt learnt their lesson after having to extend the warranty which cost them millions. When they release their slim/Natal 360 it will be COMPLETELY redesigned from the inside and out, why do you think its taken them longer to come out with a slim while the PS3 already has one and it released a year after it? Its probably cause they are testing it like mad to ensure it doesnt have hardware failures.
