Digital Extremes is carving its own path with the sequel, removing some of the backtracking subway elements of the original and overhauling the graphics engine with a cel-shaded look that retains the bloody and violent tone of the Top Cow comics. In an exclusive interview with games™, The Darkness II’s lead designer Tom Galt explained Digital Extremes’ approach to development, in comparison to Starbreeze’s efforts. “What Starbreeze did well, in a nutshell, were characters and story”, he says....
wow dude.... these are not concept arts at all. there screens from the engine. sighh....
how do you join the beta?
@hell assassin: I heard there is a medievil currently in production now.
it looks really goood actually. might buy it used or at least later along the lines
ok so they got the story and voices down packed. thats a good start. now all thats left to convince me to buy this the how well the game plays.
@ shack
Yea if he is talking about the VIP pass thing then i understand. I did not like the whole idea especially since they continued to recycle the same maps just in different areas. i want at least 8 good maps and all different places
i cant wait for this game! it dooesnt even look anything like bfbc2!
idk but the beta seriously needs a patch that fixes the connection. pissing me off
cant wait
beta is awesome...matter of fact. im going to play some killzone now! lol
well it might be useful when you beat the game a few times and want to get all the trophies.
so i tried killzone 3 with the move yesterday and heres what i thought:
It worked really well once you get the hang of it. At first, my crosshair was jumping up and down because the camera could not collaborate with the move properly. i re collaborated and it worked much better. i started playing and i actually got more kills then what i did when i was playing with the controller. the only problem was that i was not use to the controls so i was basically a sitting duck at tim...
the cutscenes were never exhausting to me. i loved every min. of that game. i played it and beat it a few weeks ago just for the hell of it and brought back so many memories. idc what people say, mgs series the best
i hope its not either. I wass talking to my friend the other day and he was in the killzone 2 beta. he said that what they used for the menu in the beta was not what they used in the final game. so lets hope hes right.
the beta is awesome but i just cant stand the menu screen. its awful imo.
your not :)
you hit everything spot on. I 100% agree
whats with all these "your mom hates" articles. Visceral games start this and now everyone is tagging along?
@hamburger: I'm one of them, so thank you
