Whether you pay full price, double the price or half the price doesn't matter; Rockstar make the same amount. They sell for a set price to the distributors, who take a cut and sell it on to retailers. Retailers can then charge whatever they like.
Rockstar have already made their money from your copy of the game before you've even bought it, so no reason to feel bad about finding a good deal!
Hi, as the author of the article I can safely say that I am a gamer. The comment in the article was misleading though and I've amended it, so thanks for pointing it out.
Unfortunately, most of MY favourite games don't support split-screen, hence the original comment. :(
