72 is a bad score?
I found the controls on Portal Knights unplayable. I got my money back asap.
This has been on my 'should I take a look' list for sometime. Good review.
You guys are doing a demo - are you going to be doing EA?
I want to get in on this game, but I'm concerned it will wind up like all my other horror games. It looks amazing but maybe too stressful for these old bones.
I will never really say no to an Open World Pirate RPG. I'll be checking this one out.
Great article - I am afraid I would never be able to play the game. If my wife saw me even playing a game where it could hurt penguins, I may get in big trouble.
This game looks really interesting. Handled well it could be a great insight to a forgotten class of folks. Also, I am very very nervous about my fiscal situation now.
This is on my big watch list for up and coming games. The InXile folks were tweeting about them too and I think their Kickstarter has been well received.
Some game types don't always appeal to everyone. There are FPS games out there that I know some people will never play, no matter how high the scores, because they just don't like. Just like some people don't like comedies or sci-fi, regardless of how strongly the movie or book maybe reviewed.
From what I've seen of this one, it has opened my mind to revisiting a genre I wrote off as not for me. Not entirely sure why that is being seen by some people as a b...
This looks like something I'd be into when it was fully released. Very promising.
Really looking forward to getting my hands on this one.
Never really got in to games like Call of Duty. I played some walking sims before, Dear Esther stands out. I wanted to enjoy it, but I couldn't get into it. I just assumed that they were not for me based on a few bad experiences. This one looks really interesting. With so many questionably good video games, I am glad to have the chance to change my mind about an entire genre.
Rough but a fair take on it. This new era of games has some questionable footing as people try to balance between innovation and functionality. While it is always good to shoot for the stars, creators need to be careful what products they are putting out, cause a bad release like this - could do some damage to their brand.
Between this and The Jimquisitions high praise, I think I'll need to check this out. I had previous written off 'Walking Sims'
This is convincing me to reinstall this game and take another look at the Multiplayer.
I was a huge fan of Mount and Blade, and I'm itching for Bannerlord. And honestly, I never thought of the comparison until I started reading other SPGW reviews, but I completely agree. Warlords really is one of these games that Space Sim fans are looking at crossed eye and saying '4x elements - how?' but they implement them pretty well.
I am pretty stoked about Endless Space 2. I'll be doing a review for it to put up around official launch time. If it refines the Endless Space mechanics, I will be 100% down for it. Stellaris has pretty been my space conquest game before Warlords got on my radar.
Nice write up. I will likely give this game a bit more attention than I otherwise would now.
Arkane Studios always manages to perk my ears up. Still a bit bitter that LMNO was canned.
