God Of War winning was wonderful and well deserved. I still think Red Dead Redemption 2 was the better game by a slight margin, but I knew in my heart of hearts God Of War was going to win Game Of The Year. You know whats crazy?? I was still going to purchase Battlefield 5 even with all the controversy. But then on the week of release my gut instinct took over. Im so glad I didnt ignore my Intuition and purchase the game anyway.
I heard the IO Interactive rumor as well from someone who usually is spot on with these things. We will see what happens.
I think Destiny 2 supporters better take the wait and see approach. Bungie is not innocent in everything that has happened with Destiny and Destiny 2. Now that Bungie is Independent, they will not be able to blame the parent company or Publisher for things that dont go according to plan with the game.
