I've said very much the same thing and you're right, Microsoft claims they aren't leaving the current player base behind but Microsoft also has a tendency to talk out of the side of their mouths. They've made it pretty clear if you bought xbone you're getting the dumpster fire version of their games unless you upgrade to bone x to get those "enhancements".
