I love how you type just like Niko talks :D but yeah i agree he is either a fool, or he knows something noone else does.
Warzones generally aren't organized and un-fragmented bud :p
Game companies should be more mindful before showing off games too soon, as well as announcing release dates too early! I don't think it's bad considering it being 40% completed, but I completely understand why Sony wanted Evolution to put out that CG trailer!
Yeah, kotaku really has been reaching for ways to be down on the ps3 more so lately even than the normal amount.
The scale they use can offer a quick look at how the media as a whole views the game, which makes it easier for gamers. I agree that they are very subjective, but i think a better way of going about it would be to find a reviewer you trust, or has similar tastes. Besides a reviewer could give say both UT3 (decent game worth buying) and GTA4 (Amazing thus far) a "buy" or "good" rating, but that doesn't say which is better. And even if you read it and they said one was dec...
That site is a joke, but i keep seeing those gifs and vids of the texture pop in, is that legit and to that extent everywhere? Or did they just find a few places with bad pop in and exaggerate it?
lol somehow i don't see everyone returning their preorder...besides it's better that Konami gets their online service worked out now then when the game is released.
@TresTrendu
I was actually more referring to the 20 millions console install base by the time gt5 comes out (next year presumably?) then the 5 million copies of gt5. And as sephy pointed out, gt has done this before with a huge amount of success. No doubt that some people will refuse to buy both prologue and the full version and follow your logic,but stop trying to downplay how big gt5 will be.
I believe he is referring to the full version of gt5 which will probably come next year, not prologue. By then it's very conceivable that those numbers will be realized :) !
Yeah I agree that this article became an argument between bluray and DD unnecessarily. Bluray will make Sony and others lots of money, and I'm assuming Sony will soon release a service similar to marketplace which will also make it money. So either way i think you'll see Sony doing fine. MS in the same way will make money off marketplace more and more as DD grows. So really both companies are going to make lots of money as I see things. Why is there arguing over having more options to ge...
@kewl
Yeah i know, seems to be alot of downplaying of MS marketplace on here, but when Sony releases something similar it will be the best thing to ever happen lol, you should know this kewl!
@Jason
I do agree with you that you can find Movie downloads all over, but that just seems to prove my point about it not being widespread in adoption that you mocked so readily. If there are all these places to download them from, and only a small percentage of people using t...
You're right movies are "next". That's why you'll see Sony getting into the DD game as well as ms and many others. The question becomes how long before it becomes economically feasible in a widespread manner, and then after becoming feasible, how long before it becomes widely accepted. But until then bluray will make money and grow, and even when DD comes into its own it's not like physical movies are just going to completely go away. But again you're right, DD will continue to ...
Arguably the greatest post of all time! It's almost too much to handle right now lol. Even better that people agree and disagree with it!
Agreed that every console has it's constraints. No one can argue that great games will require a hard drive (just look at all of the past great games and consoles). But gaming and developers are progressing, and HDDs are becoming one of the areas that are going to be utilized more and more in the future. The point is it was a mistake to not add a HDD in the 360 (even an extremely small one which would've cost very little for MS); and that is what this is about. You have some interesting poi...
Why are you looking at last gen? What you should be looking at is whether or not the consoles are advancing properly. Adding standard HDD to the PS3 was a giant step forward from PS2 in the same way that 360 took a step backwards from xbox. I don't know who you knew that was arguing that memory cards > HDD last gen, but i haven't met anyone that made that claim.
Putting a small hardrive in would've cost microsoft very little
I'm going to say he meant GTA4, it's a similar open style game. He's saying that now it has some real competition and went multi!
It is funny how people forget how badly PS3 fans had it up until a couple of months ago isn't it!
You are right on the money. They wouldn't have poured so many resources into a fight that even if they did win against bluray, would've been lost to DD. Essentially, they knew money was to be made in the HD video war, and are just trying to rain on bluray's parade.
Yeah,that was one of the parts i agreed with on some level too Meus. Sony made some lofty expectations for themselves, which is good because they are trying to make right on them now. But yeah, i think Sony learned it's lesson from announcing projects too early. As for his lead extending comment I have to disagree with his assessment (which he didn't provide the best reasons for at all), and don't know where he is getting the 5 million difference from, but I'd like to know ;)
