blu ray is faster than dvd9, but the PS3 disk drive is slower than x360 in some occasions
DVD: 10.5 Mbit/s(1x)
BLU RAY:36 Mbit/s(1x)
PS3: 2x blu ray drive=> 2 x 36 = 72 Mbit/s
x360:12x dvd drive => 12 x 10.5 = 126 Mbit/s
