PS3 is selling around 13 000 PS3's per week with practically no games.
Xbox hit with one of their "big three" for the japanese market ( Trusty Bell, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon ) and it made no impact.
Hot Shots Golf, and such games may be popular PS3 games among the Japs, but they're definitely not system sellers, which Trusty Bell was supposed to be.

The game looks good. Period. Irrespectively of whether you own, don't have, love, hate, despise, cherish, or piss on the PS3, the game looks good.

... sold like an average of 3 million copies per game. That definitely leaves Konami and MGS as a force to be reckoned. But certainly that doesn't spell the end of the console wars. But if this is true ( and I doubt i't not, since Reuters is a respectable source ) , well then that's a heavy punch for Sony.

Dude most relevant game developers happen to be Japanese studios. The performance of each console dictates whether they'll develop certain games for these consoles or not.
.. home some even manage to make bad news out of a game getting a friggin' 9.3 rating @ IGN.
Just chill, and if you're (as in the folks trolling here)into action/ninja/whatever games, get the games. It is a good game.
It's annoying when people wanting to justify their purchase of a console, start bashing good games on other consoles just for the sake of it.
NGS on PS3 is friggin' good, Gears of War on 360 is good, etc. just get on with your lives p...

Games like Haze, Killzone2 would appeal to another demographic than Final Fantasy's. You also got stuff like Lair, Heavenly Sword, God of War 3, Then we have games like Everybody's Gold, Singstar, My Summer Games (not sure of the title). Also there's platformers like ratchet and clank, and some "cult" games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, that Sony happen to be good at making. And last but n...
This "next-gen" gimmickry is becoming insulting to peoples intelligence. Just make good games.
But it's weird seeing this kind of statements coming from the Midnight Club dude. I mean, they're generic racers, and aren't likely to be "great art". so, having superior hardware with more difficult devkits is the same of having inferior hardware with devkits that allow the gamemakers to maximize the machine's performance ? It's the exact friggin' opposite.

This is a pure "american" list. First of all it undermines the influence of Japanese RPG's, which historically came long before American RPG's. FF7 alone needs to be in the top 3, so i'll not bother talking about how the series in general were influential on RPG's. And secondly it ignores the plethora of european point-and-click adventure/rpg games that had a influence on storytelling in games too.
This is a biaised list, and isn't likely to be taken seriously by RPG...
.. they're characters modelled after their concepts, albeit with a sci-fi vibe. And that's cool enough.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
