Alan Wake and Splinter Cell are not horrible, but they are certainly disappointing given the hype they have.

lol care to elaborate? The only thing xbox LIVE has over PSN is cross game chat, and that is a such a petty feature that rarely anyone cares. Also more ps3 games offer dedicated servers as compared to 360 games.

Played the game and it's pretty mediocre.
What MS is doing with kinect and Forza3 is HORRIBLE because: You are playing a driving game with a invisible wheel, you are standing up, you cannot press the pedal.
On the other hand what sony is doing with EYE and GT5 is a gimmick, but at the same time it's an interesting addition to the game.
One ruins the game experience, one does not. Know the difference.
Till this day people are still begging for ps3 exclusives. You rarely see the other way around like ps3 owers begging for skittles.
Skittles is really hardcore when you think about it. You get to stroke it, lick it and do various stuff. Hardcore indeed.
I bought my ps3 launch too and I feel it's worth every single penny spent. Sure there wasn't a whole lot in its first year, but that's to be expected. When 360 just came out, it doesn't have much either.
If you look at the present the ps3 just has so much more exclusives of different variety than the 360. The 360 has good games too but 99% are shooters and FPS.

I am still going to get rising since it looks fun, but it is clearly not a proper mgs game, but rather a spin off.
