The sale begins on April 1st... some dark humor there.
Looks that way, yeah. You would need a much bigger picture for Gabe.
There are a number of ways it could go wrong, but hardware slowdown is one I'm sure they'll be able to address. Like I mentioned, if it works well, okay then. However, if they can't successfully implement it on the PS4, then it's a problem.
If this actually works, it would be incredible for Sony. I would hate the idea of my game unintentionally being read as illegal, but since I don't download illegally, as long as it doesn't affect me, more power to them.
Free Bioshock and X-Com?
I don't know how much better of a deal we're going to get. :-)
As a 360 owner, it feels good to have a great sale for once. Even if it only comes once a freaking year. Ha.
two thoughts -
1. That's not at all how the article's title or above description reads. What you've done is try to create hype out of a non-situation.
2. Similar articles have already been denied on N4G, and this one doesn't seem to merit approval either. So the news is old as well.
It seems that Sony's PR department needs to get its act together a bit. I don't say that to be controversial, but, unless this information is intentionally being withheld, it sounds like Yoshida simply doesn't know rather than being unwilling to share. This, and backwards compatibility, are two issues I'd love to see answered soon.
I hadn't that heard that bit - awesome news.
@Septic - I believe he's talking about Everquest 3.
1UP had the best quality editorials and articles on the web - I'll really miss that site. Best of luck to all, and hope everyone lands on their feet.
I love this bit regarding indie titles -
"For the people that self-publish, it’s their product. They are the publisher. They are free to set the price from free to, you know, $30. It’s their fee. For independent publishers we work with, we are the publisher, so we make the final decision, but for our store, it’s very easy to set the price for each product, and it’s easy to make promotions or bundles. It’s very easy to do."
A PS4 supported by even m...
It is a brilliant marketing strategy, though there's one caveat - if Microsoft unveils the 720 at E3, there's a chance of the internet exploding.
Seriously though - it will be an amazing E3, and perhaps the best E3 in recent memory and one of the best gaming years ever.
This does suck quite a bit. It's a different operating system than the PS3, but there has to be some way to make everything work. Hope they solve the issue soon.
Steambox... that's the wild-card.
Oracle of Ages and Seasons are two definite must-buys. Call me crazy, but these two (and A Link to the Past) are my favorite titles. Just great gaming.
Japan - LEVEL-5 Inc.
Please, oh please, be Dark Cloud III.
"It’s been seven years since the Cole McGrath episodes and the world has clearly changed."
I did not expect this, but I'm really liking where the new direction of the series is going. Potential sequels and new characters all with different abilities? Sounds awesome.
To be fair, he has a point.
But... Microsoft has lost the exclusive to Destiny and they're now behind on the next-generation wars. Words can only go so far Major Nelson. Let's see the Xbox 720 before Microsoft tries to show up to the party.
Edit - good catch Logicwins. Meant to say timed-exclusive as it now looks like it will show up on all three systems at once.
To be fair, he has a point.

GDDR5 8GB
This makes me very happy.
Xbox Gold... as a subscription service, okay. Fine. Keep the Gold moniker.
But as a system name... my God, Xbox Gold is awful.
